Hands skyward, I stood tall in my sun salutation pose, feeling the gentle swell of the Gulf of Mexico rolling under my feet.

On a recent Sunday morning 30 feet from the shoreline, I felt the sunshine warm on my back. I had worried about sending my hips back into a downward dog atop a paddleboard, not yet trusting of my core muscles to steady my yoga poses on the water’s surface, but I did it, anyway.
