Police are hunting a suspect who is said to have chased a 13-year-old schoolboy down a south London road and trying to grab his collar before exposing himself.

The Metropolitan Police Service said the victim had left school and was walking down Colegrove Road, Southwark at about 3.40pm on Thursday, July 19 when he noticed a man cross onto the same side of the road as him.

The force said the victim was followed and the suspect tried to grab the collar of his school uniform before the youngster ran off before the suspect gave chase.

The suspect is then said to have given up and shouted in a language the youngster did not understand, while the teenager kept running and ran along Glengall Road.

But when the 13-year-old approached the junction with Bird in Bush Road, the suspect ran around the corner towards the victim and stopped to expose himself.
