Celebs Launch ‘Dear Ivanka’ Campaign After Her Comments on Family Separation

Amy Schumer, Chelsea Handler, writer and director Jenni Konner, actress Cara Delevingne, and model Alexa Chung are just some of the famous names with massive social media followings who have posted messages directed at the first daughter.

Though the origin of “Dear Ivanka” is unclear, the letter begins by addressing Ivanka and the contradictory comments she made regarding family separations. “As of now 572 children have no been reunited. A child has died after separation,” the letter reads, going on to list more of the atrocities caused by the “zero-tolerance” immigration policy.

“These abuses have occurred on your father’s watch and under the leadership of Secretary Nielsen. End these racist, inhumane, and unconscionable abuses now!” the post concludes, urging Ivanka to call for the resignation of Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen, who defended the controversial law.

Ivanka Trump, unable to get her own family’s immigration story straight, has yet to comment on the social media campaign.
