4. Love Stories: A Valentine’s Day Tour
If you’re living on campus this year, spending Valentine’s at the Richard B. Russell Jr. Special Collections Libraries might be a more viable option. Attendees will take a guided tour, including gossip, games and of course, Valentine’s Day-themed snacks. The tour is free, but registration is required.

5. ‘The Princess Bride’ at Ciné
Couples who are looking for a relaxing night out might enjoy watching “The Princess Bride” at Ciné in downtown Athens. This 1987 classic features fantasy, comedy and an abundant amount of romance, bringing joy to first-time viewers and fans alike. The screening of the film will begin at 10 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, welcoming viewers in for an “inconceivably” good late-night show.
6. Love Night — Valentine’s Day Comedy Show
From 9-10 p.m., the Moonlight Theater Company will host Love Night, an ages 18 and up comedy show featuring Sam Gordon, Chase Brantley and Andrew Youngerman. Whether couples are celebrating years of marriage or are out on a first date, the show promises something for everyone in this love-themed variety show — mixing stand-up, sketch comedy and disco.
