Enterprise is dog-eat-dog. It’s concerning the pursuit of income above every thing else — a pitiless Darwinian exercise during which the robust survive by treating their staff like medieval serfs.

While few enterprise house owners would agree with this description, a current Gallup Day by day report suggests that many staff regard it as “spot on.” In line with the research, only 30 percent of America’s full-time staff are glad and engaged with their work.

And the remaining? They are “phoning it in.”

Sixteen percent are actively disengaged, infecting those around them with their unfavorable attitudes and behaviors, whereas the remaining 51 percent are merely “not engaged.” These individuals do exactly sufficient to keep from getting fired — i.e., they “telephone it in.”
